Behind the Studio Doors
Nestled in a hub of film and creativity, our studio is the perfect place to start your wedding film journey
Our office is based at London North Studios – a lively creative hub where film and television projects of all kinds come to life. It’s also where we call home, and we’d love to welcome you here by appointment to chat through your wedding plans over a coffee.
Getting here is simple. The studios are just a 10-minute walk from Mill Hill East Underground Station on the Northern Line. If you’re driving, there’s on-site parking – just let us know your car registration in advance so we can arrange it for you.
As London North Studios is a busy working environment, we ask that all visits are arranged ahead of time. This way, we can make sure everything is ready for you and give you our full attention when you arrive.

Questions we hear most
We’ve gathered the most common queries so you can find what you need straight away.
What is your videography style?
We take a relaxed, unobtrusive approach to filming, letting the day unfold naturally rather than directing every moment or staging stylised shots. Our focus is on the people, the connections, and the unique atmosphere of your wedding, with gentle suggestions to help you feel at ease on camera.
Every film reflects the story of your relationship, shaped by the way you and your partner interact, the energy of your guests, and the character of your venue. We carefully choose which moments to capture and how to frame them, building a film that feels like your day lived again. The technicalities—camera angles, sound, and coverage—serve the story, not the other way around. At its heart, our work is about creating a cinematic keepsake that you’ll want to return to over and over, sharing it with old friends, new friends, and even future generations.
How do you choose the music for our wedding film?
Music plays a central role in shaping your wedding film. For our social reels, we carefully select music to reflect the emotions and story of your day, and you're welcome to have an input in this process if you wish.
For longer edits, you can choose directly the songs you'd like to feature in the soundtrack. We're happy to suggest tracks that complement your footage and help craft the story, and many couples enjoy a collaborative approach where we advise on what we feel would work well.
Our aim is to create a soundtrack that feels personal, memorable, and perfectly in tune with your day.
What types of photographers do you work best with?
We’ve collaborated with a wide range of photographers, and the best results happen when both teams share a similar approach to capturing the day. We work most effectively alongside photographers who are relaxed and unobtrusive, allowing moments to unfold naturally rather than overly directing the day.
If your photographer prefers a highly stylised, heavily staged approach - such as continuous flash or orchestrated poses for fashion-style shots - it can be challenging for us to capture the authentic, candid moments that make your film feel personal.
Working with a photographer whose style complements ours helps ensure your wedding film truly reflects the energy, connections, and story of your day.
When will I receive my wedding films?
You don’t have to wait long to relive the magic of your day. If you include social reels in your package, these are delivered within 14 days, letting you enjoy highlights of your celebration while you’re still on honeymoon.
Choosing social reels gives you a bit of a hybrid setup, combining the quick, shareable style of a content creator with a longer, carefully produced film that captures your day in full, with all the thought and detail of a complete production.
Longer edits take a little more time. The process involves full post-production work, including selecting and editing the clips to be used, colour correction/grading, and sound design, all combined to shape the story of your day into a polished, cinematic film.
All longer edits are delivered within 13 weeks, depending on the length and complexity of the footage.
What kind of equipment do you use?
Our approach combines a relaxed style with professional, movie-quality tools. While our kit is lightweight and portable enough to move unobtrusively around your day, it’s a step above the average wedding videographer’s setup. We film primarily with Sony FX6 cinema cameras, the same models used on many shows you may have seen on Netflix or the BBC. These cameras are designed for filmmaking, giving your film rich colour, depth, and clarity.
We always plan for redundancy, so in the rare event of equipment issues, we’re fully prepared. On the day, we capture your wedding using a mix of handheld shots, gimbals, and tripods, choosing the approach that best suits the moment and ensures your film feels natural, cinematic, and effortlessly polished.
Do you recommend adding a drone to our wedding film?
A drone can really elevate your wedding film, especially if you’re getting married at a stunning venue or celebrating outdoors. It’s perfect for those sweeping shots that set the scene right at the start of your film. In filmmaking, we call these establishing shots – little moments that show where your story is about to unfold. Imagine your venue, gardens or coastline captured from above, giving your film that extra bit of magic before we move into the close-up moments with you and your guests.
We use a 4K cinema drone, so everything we capture blends beautifully with the footage from our Sony cameras. Typically, we’ll fly it early in the day to film the venue before it gets too busy, then we might capture parts of the outdoor ceremony (landing before it starts so nothing interrupts), the drinks reception, confetti, and even a few creative couple moments. One of our favourites is filming you dancing together from above when the light casts those amazing long shadows.
When you book the drone, you’re also booking a licensed pilot and extra insurance cover, so everything is safe and above board. The pilot also doubles as a second ground camera operator when the drone isn’t flying, which makes it a really good value option to add to your package.
Of course, we’re always guided by weather and CAA restrictions, but when it all comes together, the drone gives you an unforgettable perspective of your wedding day.
Do you offer the raw footage?
Yes, we do. When couples ask for the raw footage, it really does mean everything. That’s every camera feed from the ceremony and speeches, the setting up of shots, all the in-between moments and even the bits that didn’t make it into the final cut. It’s colour graded and includes the audio from the on-board cameras. Just bear in mind it’s a bit like seeing behind the curtain - expect some trial runs, shaky shots and moments that weren’t polished enough for your finished wedding film.
You can add the raw footage to your package when booking, or up to six months after your wedding, so there’s no rush to decide straight away.
If you’d like more footage but don’t fancy diving into everything, you might prefer one of these options instead:
Ceremony or Speeches Film – an edited version of all the main parts of the ceremony and/or speeches, polished and ready to watch back in full.
Uncut Ceremony or Speeches Film – a single camera feed that plays through the entire ceremony or speeches from start to finish, just as it happened.
It all depends on how much detail you’d like to relive, but whichever option you choose, you’ll have more than just the highlights to look back on.
Can we book you before securing our venue?
Yes, many couples do and that’s absolutely fine. We know plans can shift as you finalise your venue, so if your date or location changes after booking, we’ll simply move your booking across at no extra cost - as long as we’re available on the new date.
We’re not used to being on camera - will it feel natural?
Most couples tell us they were surprised by how relaxed it all felt. Our approach is very unobtrusive, so rather than directing or staging moments, we blend into the day and capture things as they naturally happen. If at any point you’d like a little guidance, we’ll offer simple suggestions to help you feel at ease, but never anything that feels posed or forced. By the end of the day, you’ll hardly notice the cameras, and you’ll be free to enjoy every moment while we tell your story in the background.
Do you film anything other than weddings?
Yes, we do. Momentous Films is part of The Story Goes, a London-based creative production company with years of experience filming across a wide range of projects. From corporate films and interviews to commercials and on-set productions, we bring the same attention to detail, storytelling expertise, and cinematic approach to every project. This means your wedding film benefits from a team that’s highly skilled in framing, lighting, sound, and narrative, just as we would on any professional shoot. You can see examples of our broader work on The Story Goes website.
